Dr. Oliver “Ollie” Evans is a licensed Chiropractor serving the community of Holly Springs, Woodstock, Canton, and surrounding areas.
A local of the Holly Springs/Woodstock area, Dr. Ollie grew up only a few miles from our office, attending both Holly Springs and Sixes Elementary, and Woodstock Middle/High School. He currently resides in Ball Ground, with his wife Caroline, and two dogs Stanley and Kolzi.
In 2012, Dr. Ollie completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Science at Kennesaw State University. He went on to attend Life University, where he completed the Doctor of Chiropractic program in 2016. While at Life University, Dr. Ollie focused on structural techniques, and has spent countless hours learning the intricacies of extremity adjusting, sports injury management and prevention, pediatrics, and other various adjusting techniques. He was very active in the Thompson Club, the President of Life University Ice Hockey club, and 4 year intern at our Ridgewalk office.
Dr. Ollie has an extensive background in sports and exercise. He has been a certified personal trainer since 2008 holding certifications with a variety of organizations such as ISSA (International Sports Science Association), ACE (American Council on Exercise), and ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine). He is very active in the local CrossFit and Hockey communities. He has played hockey his entire life, playing goaltender for both Kennesaw State University and Life University after a 4 year junior hockey career with the Atlanta Knights. He is currently a USA Hockey referee and officiates youth, high school, junior and college hockey games in Georgia.
Dr. Ollie is very involved with his community. Currently, he is the vice-chairman of the City of Holly Springs Downtown Development Authority, and the morning leader of YPOW (Young Professionals of Woodstock), additionally, he is a member of the Friends of Holly Springs Police Foundation and the Holly Springs Optimist Club.
With a passion for giving back, Dr. Ollie runs the Deane W. Evans memorial fund, hosting an annual golf tournament to raise money for various charities as well as providing a yearly scholarship opportunity and helps run the Rock for a Reason charity event that raises money for Childhood Cancer Research which has raised over $700k to date.
Dr. Ollie is committed to promoting optimal health and wellbeing using a “whole person approach”. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Ollie can help patients accelerate and/or maintain their journey to good health. Additionally, Dr. Ollie welcomes the opportunity to speak with civic groups, organizations, and schools on various health and wellness topics.
